How do I spend Valentine's Day? Well Hubby has been taking me out to dinner for Valentine's Day for almost 35 years now. We so enjoy that dinner together, and we always go to Baskin Robbins for a hot fudge sundae. When we first met that is one of the places the we loved to go together, so we still continue this ritual on what other day, than the day of LUV. Thanks so much for asking sweetie.

What a cute giveaway. I would love to be entered. I am a follower and I will post this on my blog. I have a cute Valentine's memory. Mike and I got engaged on Valentin's Day. He came to my parents to pick me up for work and when he came he gave me my gift. He pulled out a little box, the same size as a ring box, I opened it and to my surprise it was a pair of gold teddy bear earrings....I think I was mad at him all day and gave him the cold shoulder. We went out to eat after work and then back to my parents house. He was getting ready to leave and he pulled out another little box. In that box was my beautiful engagement ring. I rang up stairs and woke up my parents to show them my ring. I was so excited. Needless to say I didn't sleep much that night from the excitement.
Now we usually spend Valentine's going out to eat with our other sweet heart Kayleigh.

Marilyn, your give away is beautiful. My husband and I usually go out for a Valentine luncheon rather than dinner. We have a romantic candle light dinner at home, even if it's a sandwich it's better than the hurried service at a dining place on that day. We also exchange a gift. Oh how I would love that. Its beautiful. How I spend my Valentines Day.when my kids was young it was pizza and coke and talking to them about their valentines they got. Exchanging with them little things we bought them and a heart full of candy. Now they are grown I will look forward in giving my granddaughters a valentine. My hubby a valentine sometimes we go out for dinner and sometimes we stay home.

Well Valerie, you've asked a tough question when you ask how I spend Valentine's Day.
I'm single, and probably will stay that way, so it's not hearts and flowers for me.
But I'm a Mom and a NaNa, so I do have special Valentines. I usually call each of my four children and speak to each of my seven living grandchildren. Then I make treats for myself, such as red velvet cupcakes which I share with the neighbors, and then treats for my pups....peanut butter cookies usually.
It's not all hearts and flowers, but it is a way to spend the day with folks that mean a lot to me.

Things become all hearts and Roses here at the Cabin in February. Every year possible I love to do Valentine crafting-making a special garland or centerpiece. I make Valentine cards for family and friends too. My guy usually surprises me with some little special gift and we always go out to dinner. When my grandkids come, we make and decorate heart sugar cookies together and we have a special Valentine supper with the whole family. Later each child gets a bag of Valentine candy. This is a tradition we did with our kids when they were growing up.
How special that we can now share it with our grandkids!

We usually go out for dinner on or around Valentine's Day...nothing extravagant. I always tell hubby not to buy me flowers; it depresses me that they die so quickly. Now, if he were to buy me some pip berries, that would be ok. :-)

This has been the 2nd very tough year financially here. I will be working, as will my beloved husband, this Valentine's Day...but I'll make him a special card and ask him for one of his original poems, as I do every year. Maybe he'll write one this year.

I not only LOVE your blog, but would also LOVE to win the adorable give-away. How do I spend Valentine's...I am usually in bed by 7:00 p.m. WHY...I WORK as a floral designer in a
FLOWER SHOP. Between the 7th and 14th I will work over 85 hours...most years I go in on the 13th at 5:00a.m and don't go home until the evening of the 14th. Working around the clock making special arrangements for people. My family always stops by with treats and munchies to keep me going, which is nice because I miss them all! We celebrate the holiday the week before with a family gathering of kids/spouses/grandkids
and lots of good food and spend time working on Valentine crafts. I've been doing this for over 15 years...and I still love the holiday! Thanks for all your inspiration and thoughts...zsunfish@msn.com

My favorite valentine is spent with family at a table decorated by my mom in cranberry depression glass. We always make heart shaped sugar cookies with pink icing and red hots. We serve something kind of pretty like croissant pizza or a quiche... And we invite special friends or my son and his friends. We give gifts, usually just one.

We always spend Valentines Day by taking our kids to a Tea Room. It is a special tradition to get dressed up and go some where fancy. My husband talks with them about the importance of TRUE love, which comes from God. The example of TRUE LOVE, which comes from Christ. And showing TRUE LOVE, which comes from serving others. Then, we either get a sitter, or rent the kids a dvd and send them to their room for the night. Hubby and I will watch our favorite tv/movie, cuddle, and eat whatever our little hearts desire. Then...well.. It is a blessing of a day!
