This is a great recipe to rust your safety pins, jingle bells, or anything else you want to have a prim rusty look. Make sure you do this outside, and keep it away from children or pets.. Using a old jar combine: 1/2 cup of cider vinegar 1/2 cup of Bleach 1 tsp. of salt
Add your pins or bells,or metal you want to rust. I usually sit them on an olde bench outside. You may see a rusty start within minutes, but I like to leave them at least overnight to rust. When they seem rusty, I take them out with a plastic spoon,
and place them on a old meat tray, with paper towels under them.
When they are ready, take an old plate (or a plastic- paper plate) and line it with a couple layers of paper towel. Remove your things and sit on plate in a sunny place and let them dry... The rusting will occur as they dry. Move them around so they dry underneath also. The longer they sit out the rustier they will become.
So there you have it... beautiful rusty stuff!
IMPORTANT: NEVER DUMP MIXTURE DOWN YOUR DRAIN,OR ANYWHERE A ANIMAL OR CHILD CAN GET INTO IT...IT IS TOXIC
